In almost four years of undergraduate study in Italy, I went to exhibitions and artists’ open conferences, as well as museums and art galleries in different countries. Sometimes I would have loved to share an exhibition with my friends, but was prevented by the constraints of time and space. With the development of virtual reality technology as well as the unfortunate realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, online exhibitions have become an increasingly popular choice for curators and artists. A suitable platform is more crucial than ever with these developments within the realm of art and in the wider world, which led to my decision to design an online platform for digital exhibitions.
