Project overview
For Hibachi Lab, a Japanese fusion spot in NYC, I created playful, experimental graphics—from menus to signage—reflecting their 'lab' concept in a fast-food bento setting..
Menu design
With the compact space and over-the-counter ordering, I designed a bold, double-sided menu that's easy to grab and go—enhanced with playful illustrations to spark curiosity and fun at first glance.
Illustration design
For the walls, I created a series of quirky illustrations that fuse food with lab experiments—think teriyaki in test tubes—bringing the brand’s playful ‘lab’ theme to life.
Other stuff
Additional designs for Hibachi Lab include custom kitchen curtains, glowing light boxes, and playful business hour stickers—each detail reinforcing the brand’s bold, experimental spirit.
Marketing materials
As part of the promo materials, I designed a bold red-and-white poster used on the storefront sign and A-frame. The high contrast and clean layout were made to instantly catch the eye of passersby.
